THE HIDDEN ASPECTS OF A MEDIALIZING CALCANEAL OSTEOTOMY REVEALED BY A WBCT
Hosted by:
Dr A. Burssens
26 February 2019
8:00-9:00 pm
A medializing calcaneal osteotomy (MCO) is a surgical procedure frequently performed to correct an adult acquired flatfoot (AAFD) deformity.

However, its exact relation towards the three dimensional correction of the hindfoot - and mid foot alignment is not well understood.

This webinar will explain the concepts of threedimensional measurements using a weightbearing CT to asses pre-operative and post-operative alignment
as well as the per-operative osteotomy angle.
THE USE OF 3D SEMI-AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT TOOLS WITH WBCT THE USE OF 3D SEMI-AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT TOOLS WITH WBCT

Hosted by:
Dr F. Lintz
28 January 2019
3:00-4:00 pm
In this informative webinar, Dr François Lintz explains the scientific grounds of 3D Biometrics, commenting on the available literature on hindfoot alignment measurements, and demonstrating some cases on the use of a semi-automatic measurement software in the clinical setting.
The webinar also looks at possible future developments for the technology.
WBCT INTERNATIONAL STUDY GROUP: RESULTS OF A 5 YEAR, 10,000 SCANS EXPERIENCE WITH WBCT. CLINICAL BENEFIT, COST, RADIATION EXPOSURE AND TIME SPENT WITH PROF DR MARTINUS RICHTER
Hosted by:
Prof Dr M. Richter
29 October 2018
8:30 - 9:30 pm
Professor Dr. Martinus Richter, MD, PhD is current president of the Weight-Bearing CT International Study Group (WBCT ISG) and the International Federation of Foot and Ankle Societies (IFFAS). He is head of the Department for Foot and Ankle Surgery Nuremberg and Rummelsberg. In this department the first WBCT device, type Pedcat, was installed in Europe in 2013. He published numerous scientific papers about WBCT in different international foot and ankle journals (Foot Ankle Int, Foot Ankle Surg, J Foot Ankle Surg, Fuss Sprungg). He has inaugurated simultaneous pressure measurement during WBCT scans. In the webcast, he shares his clinical and scientifical experience of more than 10,000 WBCT scans.
